aberrometry
What is an aberrometer
With an aberrometer you can measure eyes in a special way. An aberrometer measures the power of the eye at 256 places in the pupil. In keratoconus there are large differences in strength in the pupillary plane. Light rays are most strongly deflected at the top of the cone.
An aberrometer can simulate the image your eye sees. With keratoconus you suffer from shadows on the underside of the letters. With a hard contact lens, the shadows diminish and move to the top of the letters.
This device gives you better insight into your eye flaw.
