Chrétien Frambach
As an optometrist and contact lens specialist, I have years of experience fitting contact lenses on medical grounds. Due to the complexity of the care required by keratoconus, I started to specialize in the correction of this eye disease. I started the Keratoconus Center Netherlands with the clear vision of providing better specialist care for people with keratoconus. This means that I am constantly trying to develop new products and technologies. My aim is to always keep improving.
My mission is that by developing new products, I can improve the quality of life for patients with keratoconus!

As an optician and contact lens specialist, I have extensive experience in fitting lenses and contact lenses. Since May 2023, I have been working at the Keratoconus Center, where I have further specialized in fitting glasses and contact lenses for people with keratoconus.
It is often thought that glasses are not an option for keratoconus. However, thanks to our unique measurement method, we still manage to fit functional glasses in most cases. Because of the extensive knowledge and experience within the Keratoconus Center Netherlands as well as the time we take for each appointment, we can often make a big difference for our patients.
I enjoy going to work every day. It gives me great satisfaction to help people get better vision and thus a higher quality of life.

In 2012, I graduated as an applied psychologist. My passion turned out to be more in eye care, so I worked as an optician and contact lens specialist for twelve years. In 2024 I joined the Keratoconus Center Netherlands, where I specialized in fitting and checking keratoconus lenses and contact lenses. It’s great to see how often we can make a difference for patients. There are patients who, after having lived in isolation for a long time, are able to participate in society again because an appropriate vision solution has been found. I really like this psychological aspect of the profession, it makes the work very rewarding and meaningful.
The innovative products we work with often allow us to make a difference, which is what energizes me.

Marieke van Schaik
I entered the medical optical world in 2008 by chance, and I am very happy about that. Every day, I see how much difference good lenses or glasses can make in someone’s life. I love the fact that, as a secretary, I can contribute to that. I answer customers by phone or email, and here too I try to give everyone the personal attention they need. I lovingly investigate and resolve all questions. This way I make sure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Do you have a question? Don’t hesitate and just contact me.

Since Jan. 2025, I have enjoyed working at the Keratoconus Center Netherlands. Having worked as a sales associate and customer service representative for various employers, working at the Keratoconus Center gives me great satisfaction and challenge. We can often really make a difference here for people, helping them see better. I really enjoy being able to contribute to that. Together with Marieke, I support the center by handling the administration, receiving patients and speaking to them over the phone.
I hope to welcome you soon with a cup of coffee or tea in our beautiful center!
