Entrepreneurship within the organization of an innovative company

At the Keratoconus Center Netherlands, aberrometry has a central role. The visual simulation of the vision of patients with keratoconus allows the patient to feel understood and we, as healthcare providers, gain the insight to better correct the KC patient’s eyes. With our patented wavefront corrected scleral lenses, it is already possible to significantly improve our patients’ visual performance compared to normal scleral lenses. This makes us the first in Europe. Work is currently underway to develop a wavefront corrected soft keratoconus lens, which is expected to begin testing this year. Soon, a lens measurement kit patented by the Keratoconus Center Netherlands will probably also become available, which will allow even better measurement of the keratoconus eye’s strength.
